Some nice shots, I love the boat shot. Shame about the guys by the barrier on that last one, great pan.

i am going to the drag strip today and may i ask what was your best settings this will be my first time trying the drag strip

Nice shots, are those NHRA shots from the Spring Nationals this year? I love Houston Raceway Park, used to go to the nationals there every year until I moved to AZ for school.

i am going to the drag strip today and may i ask what was your best settings this will be my first time trying the drag strip
Pima, it depends on where your shooting from, light conditions and what your trying to do. If your up in the stands during the day try and get to a vantage point where you can see over the wall and not cut off the bottom of the cars. For this position I like to pan with the cars to get motion blur. Set your camera on shutter priority, I like 1/160 or 1/125 then adjust your ISO to let the camera set you a good aperture. Here are a few I took yesterday, thats why I didn't responde sooner...sorry. These were all taken at 1/125 from the stands.

These are from HRP but not this year, had tickets and an RV spot rented at the track but my dang job hung me up. And for the boat fans here is another from Marble Falls last year...and I will be going back this year.
