Went over to the Rutledge in Nashville a few weeks ago. Wanted to share these now that I have a free moment to post again. For more info on the band, please be sure to visit: http://www.myspace.com/sainttosinnermusic

I kinda like 'em but they are a bit dark on my calibrated monitor. I think you could get along with 1/100th shutter speed and get a bit more detail ... I'd consider a tripod/monopod.

Some appear *a bit* dark, not too much though, so might be a matter of taste.

You might want to aim your camera a bit lower: Lot of images have too much headroom and too little on the bottom. (#7 is the exception)

2 and 5 were a little post processing experiment. I think 2 came out well.

And yes, most of these are meant to be a little on the dark side. The lights were dimmer than I'm used to, so I decided not to try and overdo what the raw can handle in terms of noise by brightening them back up.

I agree about the framing Rene. Practice makes perfect though right?

Pretty good set, is she pregnant?

Just went to the myspace link.... Not what I was expecting! Their clothes don't match the music all that well. Reminds me of Hatebreed that way. Pretty good music if you like it on the heavy side.

I'm fairly sure she is not pregnant... but I'm glad you enjoyed their music.

same here. no. 2 because of being gritty. great decision to work with the grit instead of going for portrait perfect crispness.
