Before I shoot myself in the foot...and purchase the wrong things...
I love the blog on off camera flash....and it answered most of my questions...but Im still confused....
I have a canon 20d and a sigma ef 500 super flash that I want to mount on a light stand and use with umbrella...
with that said...
I need a hot shoe adapter for the stand and a pc sync cord...
my question is, does this sync cord need to be male female, female female or male male...??
and must the hot shoe adapter have a cord as well? or does it just need a female jack.
such dumb questions, but I can order it and be relieved once its answered
thanks again

The 20D has a female PC port. You need to find out which hotshoe adapter to use, then you will know which cord to connect them.

For example, FlashZebra has this hotshoe adapter which also has the female PC port, then all you need is a long sync cord that has both male ends.
