I agree with rabeen - they do appear to be very noisy. What ISO was it?

very very noisy. and in number 2 i think it would have worked better if you got more of the street in the shot. the main focus seems to be the Pantages sign, and maybe it's just me cuz i live here but it just not that interesting IMO.

I agree about the noise, thus it might be great to convert it to B/W to get that grainy look.

Thanks for the comments, all of which I agree with. I've just started shooting at night and am struggling with getting the right combination of exposure settings in order to shot everything hand held and still be able to get some shadow detail.

A tripod is a must. My life was hell without one of those. Especially at night. I'm sure you already know that. Looking forward to seeing some new images. Get that tripod soon. Peace and Keep Creating!

Thanks for the encouragement streetsilence. I have a tripod (Manfrotto 458B) and use it constantly when I'm shooting landscapes. However when I'm downtown on 5th or 6th Street at 1:00 a.m. I'm usually feeling like I just want to step out of the truck, take a quick shot or two, get back in the truck and move on without attracting a lot of attention. In doing so I've been shooting a lot of stuff at high ISO (800-1000) and trying to get a feel for what I'm giving up in image quality verses the ability to be more stealth. There defiantly is a trade off.
BTW - thanks for the add on flickr. I really like your work and will be looking forward to seeing some new images from you as well.

Seems very grainy like others have mentioned.
No worries man. It's not like your in inglewood or compton. If someone tries to take your camera beat'm with your tripod.
