RDP Welsh International Rally 2008

A few of my efforts from a difficult day at Epynt. Some extremely zealous marshalling coupled with safety ropes set half a mile from the stages meant it was pretty tough to get close to the action.

I have to apologise that all these shots are taken at the same junction - the other stages I got to were pretty rubbish really.

First up, event winner Melvyn Evans in his stunning Impreza WRC S11, taking off over the "Steps":

Excellent stuff, like the one of Cole's Accent best. I hung around over near 'Deers' all morning not sure where the cars were gonna appear next so didnt manage to do 'Steps'.

Actually I was gutted at missing Epynt,this time,my mate couldnt make it,an excuse of having jetlag from Toronto,and I couldnt face the five hours of driving and yomping across the range after my "plague" of last week,so I wimped out.

Anyway,you have some nice shots here my man,not great,but pretty fair dinkum.
I really like the Damian Cole shot,and the maxi pug shot is very sharp.
Like you say a few differant angles would have helped.

Seems like some of the marshalls needed a bit more training but the chav brigade were entertaining.
