Upcoming >S500 models??

Hey all, i was wondering will Canon be introducing any S series that will upgrade the current s500 soon?
Do you recommend to buy the s500 or wait for the upcoming one?

I just reccomended the S500 to my sister in law as it has the same sensor as the S50. If it performs as well as mine I think she will be very happy with it. I vote go for it and start taking pic's , there is always something bigger-better-badder in the pipeline but think of all the memorys your are missing waiting for the next great camera.

If the release cycle follows past practices, the next series of Canon digitals won't be released until after the big PMA camera show in February, 2005.
