Hello all,
I have about $1000 to spend on a good color photo printer and I'm looking at the following candidates:
Epson R2400, about $730
Canon Pixma Pro 9500, about $730
Canon Pixma Pro 9000, about $430
Checking various reviews, I find:
The 9500 took a hit for not being able to print on glossy paper. This would be a problem as I like glossy!
The 9000 is a little less capable and has some service problems, but it's a good buy for the money.
The Epson R2400 looks great, but I'd hate to buy an Epson because of their abusive treatment of customers when it comes to ink and replacement cartridges (they make me so mad!!).Are there any other choices out there? Do you feel strongly about a particular printer for quality color and B&W photos?
