IS there any rumours of a faster or longer Canon tele?

I was just wondering if there are any rumors of a lens superseding the 100-400L, that would be longer and faster???

I wish. A lot of stockists are very low on the 400 5.6 though. Some people have taken this to mean there will be an IS version of this lens being released soon. Allegedly, in the past when lens stocks have been low across the board, this was normally followed by an update of that lens.
I don't see low stocks of the 100-400 though.
