Beautiful shots. I like 1 and 3 best, great compositions. The color tones on the first pic match your avatar by the way.

I like the first, but the green jacket is distracting...is BW any better?

I really love the first one. This long walk seems to tell the story of the lighthouse keeper and his solitary life.

I like the photos. I do not like the B&W.

The B&W is ok, but I think I prefer the colour ones. Great shots.

The annoying thing is.... just as I was finishing changing lenses the dog was up on it's hind legs with it's front legs up on the railings looking out towards the river. Now that would have been a truly great shot!!!

I love all 3 shots...strange, I didn't find the green jacket distracting until someone mentioned it, but nevertheless, excellent sharp shots. Im thinking these great pictures are the reward for being at this location nice and early?
did you hand hold and what lenses did you use? tried to look up exif, but there wasn't any!
again, superb shots.

The lens was the 17-40L. Hand held. Can't recall shutter speeds (I'm at work ATM - originals at home), but ISO100.... they must have been around 1/250th or faster from memory.

The first pic could look good just slightly desaturated. Somewhere inbetween the two could be a nice foggy morning sort of look...
Nice pic too!
