View Full Version : Welsh International ... Yet more from the ranges

Spent the day surrounded by some of the most moronic spectators I have seen in a long time ... then we had the marshall in his 'WRC' Impreza driving down the gravel road from dixies at a pace that Mr Loeb himself would have been proud of!
The sun brought them all out yesterday http://www.britishrally.co.uk/rally/images/smiles/smiley8.gif
Anyway, on to a few photos ...

Love the wider shots! 5 is georgeous! Interesting looking car too, is it a one off rally special?
As for the sun bringing them out yesterday, I'd like to remind you that this is Wales. The sun coming out is as rare as a total lunar eclipse, rather than the common total grey cloud eclipse! :p:lol:

A great set Jay, #5 works very well
I also like Melvyn's new mount in #6
There does seem to be quite a few spectators around in the shots I've seen posted so far:mad:

Cheers guys :)
Forgot to mention ... This was the 1st event since the firmware upgrade on the MKIII. What a difference it makes .... for those with a MKIII, I highly recommend 1.2.3 :)

Forgive me, I missed out the word 'moronic'
Over here with have a small problem of spectators who go to events, drink and stand in stupid places, give abuse to marshals etc etc
#3 for example looks like a 'chain gang' is stood in the background:lol:
Over here we call them 'chavs'

Perhaps when camera phones come with 500mm zoom lenses it'll stop some standing on side of the track. Thanks Jay for the info for next time.

"Carling",probably the best camera phone in the world, and sure to be seen on a rally near you soon.
Coming soon ,by popular demand "Stella ",the ultimate lens ,the size of beer can,and ten times the resolution of a 500 mm white lens, and ten times as brave.
All buyers will be given a stupid baseball cap to wear the wrong way round ,and chavtastical white striped trackies, with nuggets of bling.

A great selection of shots Jay. Nice to see the event's location put into context with the wider views. I know from experience that they are not the easiest of shots to get 'right', so all power to your elbow!
Cheers,
Simon.
