I'm definitely a beginner with photography and also with digital post-processing.

For now I'm using Photoshop LE and Elements (2.0) as well as Corel Draw Select Edition (v7.x).

I've fooled around a couple of days with DPP 1.5, and I have been impressed to find out that you can do non-destructive editing with the RAW files. Save command in DPP doesn't alter then original image data at all - it only saves the processing settings (also can be referred to as a recipe) that can be reset any time.

Before this I have only seen a concept of destructive editing of digital images; are there other tools capable of non-destructive editing; how about other tools such Photoshop CS, Captureone?

You mean post processing 16 bit TIFF, right? I'm an eternal noobie when it comes to processing digital, but I use Picture Window Pro. Full 16 bit editor. If you are schooled in Photoshop you'll probably not like it (not at first anyway). If you have a background in non digital photography you'll probably love it. The author also provides outstanding support.

Did I mention I like it very much? :D

Anything that can do RAW editing of the files will do so non-destructively in the same manner. Breeze Browser, Photoshop CS, Bibble, Capture 1 (not yet for 20D) and I'm guessing that I'm forgetting a couple.
