I like the shadow play, but it's really tough looking at these pictures without heads.

Well I do appreciate that they don't give you nightmares. These images were meant to be artisitc and they weren't meant to focus on a facial expression. The images were about the
"other" part of the image. I like to think outside the box.

I really like them both...they make me want to visualize what the rest of the series looks like....with their faces.

I haven't edited them all yet. I have been too busy. I will hopefully post a few more to appease the wants of a few facial shots soon. Thank you for your comment!!!

you see these kinds of photos in ads all the time. They don't want to put a certain face on the ad, I say they're cool. Every good photograph can be used for a different purpose, even if it is an engagment session.

i like the idea etc but for me you cut it off a little too late try cutting off a bit lower down and it might work a little better...

ah .... okay Picasso. But I'm with the other guy. Doesn't do anything for me. But who knows, maybe, when you die, these will sell for millions at Christie's.

I don't quite get your explanation. I mean, it's great you want to do something different, "out of the box" in today's recent management speak in referring to innovators... but just because something is out of the box doesn't automatically mean it' good.

That does not mean you should stop experimenting or that you should have an attitude about it. Some will work. Others won't. Most of Thomas Edison's experiments didn't work.

Anyways, congrats to the shoes on their engagement.

POTN for me a place to grow, learn and IMO be respectful of others work(good or bad) and their desire to learn and better themselves. POTN to me isn't a place to share your work and be belittled. Getting outside of the box can mean a lot of different things to people. Mine just happens to be my comfort zone-shooting all things normal and pretty.

Very creative, but may not be readily accepted by all.

Definetly outside the box but it doesn't do nothing for me.

Becoming defensive about any critisism is natural, but not particuarly helpful to anyone.

Second shot looks cool, first one looks too much like a mistake. Certainly an interesting concept.
