i like the idea behind it but the flower seems very 2D for some reason.

Also like the idea a lot, but it somehow feels like the flower should sit on the white keys... Not sure if it will work, you decide :)

But I have to admit, I was expecting a lime wedge for the "twist"

you might be able to swing it a little better if you mess with the perspective and warp functions in the flower layer in PS. (assuming you're using PS)
