I saw a ball of something..i looked..it was orb spiders..so i ran in and got myt camera.//but by the time i set up and got over the fence(2 minutes) they had allready started to separate which was a shame.Here is a pic 2 mins after the bunch separated.

i would freak out if i saw that...lol
in the woods working sometimes, i am covered by spiders like that...
that is the only time i cant handle them...

nice shots! I have been hunting around trying to find a nest, but no such luck this year (yet)..

it was luck for me..iv been trying to find one fo the last week now..after i took the pics i did blow it :D:pand there was like 50 on this single strand so i picked it up and put it on the other side of my garden..so i have orb spiders every where now :lol:im really looking forward to the grasshopers..iv been looking for them but cant find any YET..all tho a girl on reptile forum spotted 1 today so im going to keep my eye out.

lighting looks good, nice rich colours. Its a bit early for Grasshoppers - something of a speciality in Richmond Park, you can't move without disturbing some in the high season.

Brian had his 1st sighting of bush cricket nymph last year on my 10th may..we where talking about it no msn yesterday.

Lovely captures :). The spiders in these balls will stay like this for a few days- scattering a bit if disturbed but the ball reforms when it is cool.
