Picking dandelions...

My granddaughter has been waiting all spring for this day to come. She loves picking these things. Good thing it's been too wet for the neighbors to mow the lawn. It's one of those pictures I hope she'll look back on when she's older and has a good laugh.

A little weed and feed should take care of the problem, should had put it down a couple weeks ago for best results.

Great shot of the grand daughter by the way. May want to give her some gloves and help you pull some of those weeds.

I have a similar crazy daughter. Dandelions don't last too long once picked contrary to what she believes. The limp lifeless hanging over the cup of water dandelion still looks beautiful to her.

My daughter just gives it to someone or rips it up and it ends up all over her... great for her allergies ;)LOL! One of these times I'll have to put one in a cup of water for her :)

Thanks for all the comments! My granddaughter loves picking flowers, but give her a yard full of dandelions and she's in heaven. I know that "Weed and Feed" will kill them, but the good news is they're not in my yard (yet). I'm glad that a few POTN members have children that like picking them as well.

Made me think of the good old day :) I too remember picking dandelions for my Mom thinking they were so beautiful!! I sure do miss those days... Reminds me of a newer song I've heard on the radio... I'm not sure but I think its buy Trace Adkins called "you're gonna miss this" We all want to grow up so fast then when we get there we want to be young again!

I'm surprised I actually got an artist name right! haha I'm normally terrible with names.

I have a 4 year old niece that I watch 1 day a week and lately she is in the 50 million question stage.... she never shuts up all day. enough to drive me crazy!!! hahaha but then I think of that song and think I'm gonna miss these innocent/curious questions when she grows up and instead is a snotty stuck up teenager that locks her self in her room all day.
