thanks! I had been thinking about this after I saw a similar Noink shot. I tried to figure out how the guy did it and tested one out for myself :D

These shots are clever. If you had a black table with glass and use a remote flash inside the box it turns out very nicely.

so i guess it really isn't YOUR take at all.
also the original images are much, much better.

let me rephrase it then...

it was my interpretation of a classic idea. hence, "my take".

uhhh a take is just another iteration of an existing thing....so it is HIS take on what he called "a classic" in his thread title. plus he obviously knows his isn't perfect....he already said he had a hard time getting the exposure right...

if you are going to be harsh, be helpful. otherwise keep your "mouth" shut.

That is rather harsh... and not helpful. Not really POTN like..:rolleyes:

To the OP.. Good go that!

Nope not mine :) I wish I had that creativity though. I think the key in this was the contrast with blacks and whites. Remote flash is a must to get that color. Very cool and original, he has a whole series on flickr that's original.

oh I see. I thought it was really good. i tried looking around the house to replicate the desired effect. ill see if i can redo it closer to the original.

It's not "shy", just simply afraid of ducks.
