Stupid me. I have just downloaded Raw Therapee 2.3 but canīt figure out how to open a RAW image from my files. I tried clicking on "new snapshot" and nothing happened. Help please.

Snapshots are for saving a particular "state" in your edit history, so that you can go back to it at a later time, even after making changes.
To open a folder, I think you go to the lower left corner, and you should see a file browser "tree"... I think if you point it at the folder with your RAW images, you should start to see thumbnails appear in the filmstrip at the bottom of the window.
Failing that try dragging and dropping the raw image onto RawTherapee's window... (sorry can't be of more help... I don't have it in front of me right now.)

As David said. If the folder tree is not open in the bottom left corner, click on the F button at the top center-left.
There is a very complete instruction manual HERE (http://www.rawtherapee.com/?mitem=6)
p.s. I don't think dragging and dropping will work.

Thank you both. No the dragging and dropping didnīt work. Very odd: going to the lower left and opening the top icon (in the stack of four) I can not get to my images. There must be a way though so I will read that instruction manual and see what Iīm missing.

I assume the "stack of four" is the list of drives in your computer, C,D,E and F. click on the little triangle to the left of where you have parked your RAWs and a list of the next layer down of folders will open. Continue with this until you get to the folder that contains the RAWs and double-click on it. The thumbnails will be displayed.
