Work with a D300 18-55 lens and build in flash.
When shooting foto's my main goal is to have the real atmosphere of the scene on my photo.
As I don't like flash (too white/light) I wonder how to make good and clear pictures at low light situations with the lowest iso possible and not using flash.
Which lens do you advice ?
Do i have to learn more about using flash ?
Do i have to by a external flash ?
Looking forward to your reply

For available light shooting in low lighting situations, you will need a lens with as wide an aperture as you can afford. You will also need a good steady tripod to set you camera and lens on so that you can shoot with a very low shutter speed (too low to handhold).

What lens do you recommend?

That would depend on what type of available light photography you are primarily interested in. But, in general, if you want to take pictures of landscapes, buildings, or in close quarters, you'll want something in the wide angle range such as from 12mm to 35mm or so.
For general photography, people portraits, etc. something in the 28 to 70mm would be good.
Once you decide what focal range you want, you then have to decide if you want them in prime (fixed focal length) lenses or in zoom lenses.
Sorry I can't be more specific than that without knowing your needs and budgetary constraints.

If you don't want to buy an external flash look at this:
http://194.100.88.243/petteri/pont/How_to/hc_Bounce_Built-
In_Flash/a_Bounce_the_Pop-up.html
(ooopps, you'll have to copy & paste the above to the address bar for the link to show up or google "smelfen/finnbounce)
Otherwise get an external flash or a lens that's at least f2.8.

I'm considering getting the 50mm 1.8 lens for low light work, it's cheap and has a good reputation. It might be a good option for you too.

It is the cheapest/best/most practical lens for low light.
