Many people put the link to their site in their sig. I understand if a pro does that as it is a way to promote his/her business.

But just out of curiosity, why do many non-pros do that.

But do people actually look at other people's gallary/site. I know I don't. Not because I'm lazy or anything, but it seems everybody has one.

Sometimes I look, sometimes I don't. MOst of the time, there is no reason other than curiousity.

One of the odd times I look at someone's web page is if I decide to buy or sell with them - I want to be sure that they aren't a fly-by-night scam artist.

Well not 100% of people who are interested in photography have a site, but good part of them do. Heck, I even have an account in fotopic.net, imagine that (no gallery though).

I usually look at somones site when a post I'm reading has peeked my curiousity for one reason or another...

Like when somone posts a great image in share.. I'll go to there website and see what else they've been up to.

Yes, and that's the only people I check their site...if they prove that they have something special. (Oh my, I'm getting old) the very special member who posts very special photos...I don't remember his name :cry:
