Nice. This is one case where I wouldn't mind seeing some cam tilt.

You are correct, FedEx paints their McDonnell Douglas MD-10 or MD-11 aircraft white with purple tail.

We are talking about the airplane and the paint :cool:

yep 3 contrails = 3 engines = trijet. that shiny blip on the wing gives it away that its a winglet. so yea i agree, fedex md11

-the gray-colored underbelly (see link below); it is pretty clear it resembles what FedEx MD-11s have

-3 vapor trails; obviously a 3-engined airliner. now a regular DC10 and Lockheed L10111 would also sport the same trails, but this is an MD11 simply because of the next point:

-winglets clearly visible;

-purple color near the end of the aircraft;

a last bit of evidence is the "FedEx" writing on the starboard side of the flying aircraft. if you look to the left of the gray-colored underbelly of the aircraft in question, you will see a hint of the orange color of the "Ex" part towards the nose.

the port side of the MD11 would have the "Ex" part closest to the leading edge of the port wing (see the departing MD11 pic) so it is safe to assume (unless FedEx changed their starboard side livery to reverse) that the print on that side would read FedEx, with the "Ex" part closest to the nose.

here is a link to a picture of a FedEx MD-11 from another thread here on POTN:
