Nice, but a little booring composition for my taste :) ( a little lower angle might suit my taste better, but that's a matter of taste..)

Might have benefitted if you've added a little more saturation.

Overall, nicely done!

Nice shot. Very aged feel and colouration. Can imagine it as a fabric on somebody's grandmother's couch or curtains... which wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but might keep the old girl happy. Cheers, Tony

I like it - sorry I don't have much constructive criticism for that shot.

I like the slight desaturation feel that it has, and I like the bokeh that blends with the darkness behind.

I like the composition. It's nice to see another compositional rule applied other than the well-known rule of thirds.

I don't really care for soft images. I tend to weigh my biases in favor of the sharp and saturated results produced by films (or even HD TV). But this is just one person's opinion.

I've heard others express that shooting straight down into the top of a flower is the only way that flowers should be shot. They should love this shot.

Cheers,
MJ

Thanks for all your feedback. I'm thinking about framing this and giving it to my mother for Mother's Day.

I like the post processing that you did to the image. I don't know what it would be called, but Tony did a good job of expressing essentially the same thoughts that I had.
