I have a Canon 10D and love it. However, my better half wants the images off the computer, CDs, or DVDs and on paper. She likes to be able to pick them up ....

She has asked for a photo quality printer. The expectations are:
High Quality prints
Most prints will be 4x6 or 5x7
Need to print from the memory card (without the PC)
Selection of prints (lcd display)
Cropping of Prints without a PC, ...

I would like to be able to do the larger prints without spending a fortune on ink (pigment ink?).

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Much Thanks!
Dan

As long as the PC card stays in the camera I can recommend the Canon i9900, otherwise it looks like a Canon Pixma printer will be what you are looking for, that or maybe an HP or Epson.

I have printed directly from my 10D via USB connect. and I think I can crop the print in the camera before printing. What the i9900 can't do is take a CF card directly.

Also unless it is missing, this really belongs in the post processing/printing forum.
