I'm starting to think the G9 doesn't accept Compact Flash cards for memory? yes/no??
Also, the screen doesn't flip like on my G5?

No CF. SD/SDHC. No flip screen. Just 3" of giant technicolor LCD. Makes my G7 LCD look like a postage stamp (almost).
Didn't you just buy a G9 from someone on the forum?

No.... Unless you know something I don't!? :)
I want a G9 but I have tons of CF cards and I really love my flip screen in the G5.... give and take I guess...

haha, no, I have been watching the SELL column for a macro lens and I thought I saw your name on a sold G9 this morning. Sorry.
When I bought a used G2, I found the swivel screen to be a real PITA. It seemed to be something that would get broken and I found that when I locked the screen in with the LCD facing out, my screen goes dark. IOW, the wiring/harness is old and the connection must be gone.
Other than that, the G2 takes amazing low-light photos! But I definitely prefer the G7 and it's flat back. It also fits quite well into a jacket or pants pocket. Just heavy.

I'm sure I'll buy one but I'm just used to the flip screen with all the close-up and craxy angles I usually shoot...
I did PM someone about a G9 but haven't heard from them unless they just posted it sold and didn't tell me:lol: Crazy kids....:D

Yes it uses SD cards. I would try selling the ones you have or maybe try trading with someone who has SD and needs CF.

Or use them in your 20D.

Very true. I was going to try to get something out of my CF cards until I see Sandisk Ultra II 2 GB cards for $20. Now I am just going to give them to someone who can use them.

Well I've sold all but one of my CF cards and made $110 bucks so far so thats a big deal to me!
All I need for my new S5 is a 2gb SD (SandiskIII) which I purchased for $30 when i bought the camera.
Buying is not a big deal but I had a lot of memory in CF cards....
