While a lot of POTN'ers seem to have headed to Brands Hatch for the A1 GP, I headed into the Yorkshire Dales for the annual running of the Stu Nicholls Memorial Trophy autograss meeting. Nearly 300 drivers signed on for the event, making for a very busy day of heats and finals.
There had been a few changes to the track since I last visited, the main one being a restriction on where I could go to take pictures. You have to deal with what meets you on the day, but it meant that I was essentially stuck on one corner, shooting between two fence posts and had to shoot tight to avoid getting a marshall post and bright orange cones into the shot. Never the less, the action was thick and fast, and it was a really enjoyable day out.
On to some pictures......
#1 An immaculate class #6 in the pits ready to go.

#2 Just about anything goes in Class 10, and this guy was running a huge Chevy V8. A bit 'old school' compared to some of the more modern machinery, but the noise was awesome!
