Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I figured I'd let everyone know:

Has anyone who has updated to 1.1.0 noticed any problems?

I was out shooting Friday and was using ISO 800 I noticed that the flash icon was blinking on all of the shots even though I was getting high shutter speeds (that is what I needed and the reason for setting the ISO high). Never had that happen before I updated or at least I never noticed it...

Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this or other problems?

Thanks for the link! I didn't realise there was a new firmware version.

Nope. Just follow the directions. Installs perfectly.

Had no problems with installing update. Whether it makes any difference is another matter? I still get some 'banding' on some pics, esp low light high iso. This is without using any flash, either inbuilt or otherwise. ???

I haven't updated mines since I got it...I still have firmware 1.0.2. Until I get a card reader I will be able to update mine to the new firmware but, so far no problems for me so far.

Thanks for the replies however, perhaps I should be more specific:

I didn't have problems updating the Firmware, it installed seamlessly - the problem was the following day when I was shooting with the following set-up:

The lens I was using was 100-300mm @ ISO 800 - the day was very overcast and I was shooting ducks at the local pond - I set it at ISO 800 to allow for faster shutter speeds

I tried again today and the same thing happened but only with that lens. I was working RAW and on Manual which is my normal settings - I did flick the flash up, for one shot and it totally burned out the image.

I had only used the 100-300mm lens once before up dating the firmware but hadn't noticed the flash icon flashing in the view finder. I'm going through a learning curve with all the new buttons, etc. so its possible that I missed it... However, if anyone can perhaps test with the same lens/setup I'd be interested in their findings.

i understood your question http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
and i haven't seen the problem with the 70-200L f4 or 17-40L or the 50 f1.8

My camera did decide to freeze once though which it has never done before. It didn't lock up. Just didn't respond when pressing the shutter half-way. I had to press the shutter all the way and then it came back to life.
