Here's one at 12mm on a 1D II. Ultra-wide isn't something you want to use often.

Here's another, but it was cropped a little. 12mm on the 1D II again.

I don't do it very often - tends to be unflattering to people's body shape.

Great, practical thread...
And great submissions here... Wow, impressive.
How about including your lens of choice for this particular task?
(Why? cause some of us are in the market to get the best wide angle lenses (for weddings,) and would also love to see what you used to get these great posts.)

Search for Lloyd's post (I think his name is picturecrazy?). He's the master of ultra-wide's.

Ok, not the best photo ever, but wow, I love this lens. 16-35L. This is 16mm at f/2.8. Amazing DOF at that aperture. This was taken on a FF 5D, so it's really 16mm..;)
Matter of fact, I love this lens so much I just sold it so I can buy the Mk II version. Anyone have one they want to sell? :D

Another 16mm shot on the 5D. I am right (RIGHT) behind the person in the foreground...:D

Okay, here I can embarrass myself - lol!
10 mm is very useful on a 40D when the guys are relegated to the hallway. ??? (minimal processing)

Here's one at 22mm (overly processed, but the B&G adore it to death. Including the sun spots. Sigh.):

Both on the 10-22mm lens.

im looking at getting a wide angle at the moment.. and keep changing my mind, its either the 10-20 canon or the tokina 11-16.. by all reviews it seems the tokina is a great lens for this sort of photography..
but using it on a 40d... so im a little limited... but love the shots, sometimes it just adds that " wow.. what a great shot" to a wedding portfolio..
man i gotta choose one or the other....
