i'm terrible with photoshop, so i don't really know how to darken certain areas yet lol
all i've done to this shot is adjust some of the levels in lightroom

Take a look at this thread for how to use a Layer Mask to selectively lighten/darken part of a pic. It's easily reversible: Airport runway shoot (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=117950)

Nostalgy cartoon about good old days - country atmosphere. Very good photo for me even without light corrections
