Hi all, took a climb up in the Welsh hills on Wednesday. Caught a few jets flying through, sorry for the reach, only had a 70-200 f/4.0L, as I am in the middle of a deal for a 300 f/2.8L, jeez, I wish I had it there.

Anyway here my eight pics, as per the posting rules.

First off a classy Typhoon, went through a few times, then up to refuel with a VC10 Tanker

Out of RAF Valley a couple of Hawks

A Harrier GR7 from RAF Waddington I believe, three of them flew through, then "Off home for tea" we heared on the scanner

OH Meci it's the French!! A load of French Alpha jets were also low level training for the day, a bit of showman ship was being displayed between the Brits and the French, seeing how close they could get to a sheer faced hill side.

Some excellent shots. I presume these were taken somewhere on the Mach Loop?

Nice catches, especially the FAF Alpha Jet, and the 208 Sqn Hawk.

Will high on a hill in Wales, where the A470 meets the A487, head for Minffordd, and you will soon see the jets, they are awesome......

Great shots regardless of the lens on the front. We had a french jet fly south past our work the other day, reckon it was a F1, but thinking about it, it could have been an Alpha Jet, must have been on its way back to France for tea I reckon :)

For me it was luck of the draw! I got lucky, some guys have done it for years and never seen a Typhoon, my first time and I bagged 2:):)

They fly only week days, and I am not sure, but maybe the bank holiday Monday on 5th May, might mean the week was busier??

Oh by the way, if you hear them, then your too late, the damn things are so fast, it would have gone by then:):)
