Is the upgrade to S5 IS coming soon?....

I was about to buy the Canon S5 IS which has been out for about one year now, when
I thought that perhaps the newer upgrade would be hitting the shelfs fairly soon?

Does anyone have some ideas on this?

Until Canon announces it, assume No. Besides, there'll be at least a month after tehy announce before they ship. Last rumored release date was April 22. I wouldn't hold my breath, if I were you. The longer you wait the more likely that they'll announce an upgrade immediately after you buy one.
