Just did a friends wedding, put proofs on a CD but would love to have it really look great in a wedding album. Any suggestions? Approx 100 photo's.
Thanks

Not that I've done this stuff, but I recently got some books on wedding photography. They have some inspirational layouts for you to look at. I'd like to do the same thing after my friend's wedding so also looking for inspiration. :)

I've seen wedding albums organized a dozen different ways. There is no single rule.
One that I saw was organized chronologically through the wedding day, like a photojournalist would do it. It begins with bride getting dressed, etc. It goes all the way through the ceremony and ends with the last dance of the reception. (Actually, there is one special shot after that!)
One that I saw was organized in terms of importance. It started with the formal B&G pose after the ceremony and worked its way out from there through the the family shots. I found this to be confusing.
One pair of albums that I saw was organized by family. In other words, the one that the groom got for his family was organized with his family first, and then the bride's family much less importantly. Then the bride got one for her family that was exactly the opposite. I found that to be confusing also.
One album I saw had photos on both sides of each page/sheet. In general, the righthand page had one 8x10, and the lefthand page had multiple small prints. Another album I saw was similar, except that the photos were only on the righthand page. The first one would have the 8x10, then the next page would have the multiple small prints. Then another 8x10, then multiple small prints.

Thanks for your help! I have my eye on a few albums mostly using mats as it gives you more freedom organizing. Any special places you use to order your albums from? Do they also do cover engraving?
Thanks

http://albumsinc.com/ is great. They were great to work with. I just can't believe how expensive those albums are. I never knew.

Take a look at mypublisher .com. I had some snapshots from my daughter's wedding from a couple years ago and like you wasn't sure how to use them. Mypublisher will put them in a hard cover book for a very reasonable price. I gave it to her for Christmas. Included 23 pages in full color on heavy glossy paper for less than $40, including overnight delivery. I was very impressed with their product.
After downloading their layout software, it took me about 1/2 hour to arrange and upload the pix .
