I am seriously considering the purchase of a laptop for my personal and business uses. My personal being an addiction to photography. I am considering the Apple Powerbook 15" display 1.5ghz processor. Has anyone used this model in paticular and if not anything similar. Even a year or two old I'd love to hear some feedback.

Get it!
I switched to a 17" PB last March and can only recommend it. No more hang-ups etc.
PSCS works very smoothly, it is pure joy and an end to frustration.
15" and 17" side by side are very similar in size, my processor is 1,33 GHz, 1GB Ram.
Works like a dream.

I have the Apple Powerbook 15" display & 1.5ghz processor.
I have always been happy with my Mac having converted from PC 4 years ago.
For me as a designer I find the Mac is geared towards creative activity and this fits well with photography work as well. Whilst I'm no expert, I feel the speed of the Mac seems to be better than PC when working with design or photography.

I have the older version of that, the 15" 1.25 GHz, and it's worked well for me for over a year now. Don't think I could ever use Windows again after having gone back to Mac (I last used a Mac regularly when System 7.5 was the Big Thing™.)

I have a 17" 1 GHz powerbook G4 and am extremely pleased with it. Have used macs as my personal machine since 1993 and have nothing but praise for them.

I just picked up a 900 MHZ iBook that I am tickled over. (read got an awesome deal from a friend) So far I have yet to do any real playing with it but all is good so far...the past 2-3 hrs that is. I think I might ditch the PC world altogether! I am planning on getting the boehemeth 17" G4 laptop early next year...after Apple convention in Jan, 05

Go with the Mac. You will love it. Home or office, I have no complaints about my 17 inch Powerbook!

I've got a 1.25GHz Al Powerbook too. It's lovely. I use it for all my photoprocessing even though I've got a DP G5 sitting in my studio, it's so quick and easy. I've got one gig of ram in it and that's fine for me with Photoshop CS, Dreamweaver, Entourage and a few other apps running simultaneously.
Hope that helps!
