So.. have you ever been just shooting random things just to just shoot?
You know it's not going to be a very interesting shot but you take it anyway?

Well, I was doing just this like three days ago. I have a wasp nest being built just outside the kitchen window. So I snapped an uninteresting shot of it and was just sitting here looking at it and with a closer look I see I have a surprisingly cool shot (to me)! One of the owners was peeking out at me and I didn't even know it!

Do you have a story of a surprising shot you'd like to share? One you didn't know you had until you had them on your computer?

michaelgreen78 inspired me to go out and get a different shot. lol However it's still not as lovely as the one posted below.

Watch out.....The "Surpise" could have a sting in it's tail.

LOL
I was far enough away to run.

No one has had any surprise photos? Ones you didn't realize you captured?

Snap!! :D Paper wasps nests are pretty cool constructions.

I was pretty pleased with this rugby shot. I'd never used my 10-20mm lens for sports shots before and I was more than happy with the results from it.

There is something in the water!

where were you when you took the picture? It looks like there is grass between you and the water since the focus is softer on the "something in the water" than on the water its self.

I was near the water. There was grass, but I was standing up. the only kind of grass that would have gotten the way is the kind that is several feet tall with the big lump of seeds on the end.

Stocky is right. That looks exactly like OOF foreground grass blades or such.

Ah, so thats what it was. I thought it spelt something, and was trying to figure out the word.

I was hiking along Havasu creek in the Grand Canyon and took a quick shot of this flower. I didn't notice the lizard until I got home and looked at the photos on my computer.
