Second time I've shot Kenny ... pretty close to the same show as last time with the same jokes/audience banter, but still fun. He is a pretty smooth operator and has a lot of loyal fans.

As usual, another solid set Dwight... I remember the first one you did too...
He was here at Penn's Peak a couple of yrs. ago and will be back August 15th... The last time I saw him here, there were some camera restrictions... I'm taking a break from the shows here for a while... Good job Dwight.

dwight, i'm most impressed by the full stage shots and the exposure you get. are you blending exposures? if not, how do you avoid the inevitable hot spots?

I shoot RAW and bracketing, process in LightRoom, sometimes with a little recovery, but it is mostly shooting a lot of frames in RAW with bracketing and getting just the right combination. Also, it's usually the best lighting in the world, although Montgomery Gentry (in the pipeline) had two spotlights that weren't on the same power. I don't do any PP of that nature except on the collage. Or, I'm just lucky! :-)

chalk it up to well-balanced lighting, then.

check out londonblue007's recent thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=501036) for some of the crap we have to deal with here...

Yes, I am blessed with good lighting and I saw that thread but had nothing to contribute! :-) Why don't you come out here and visit me and we'll shoot at the casino?

Nice job, Dwight. I, too, have noticed the wide shots being well balanced. Being in the same room all the time must help a lot when composing those shots. While I have gotten some good shots of the whole Springsteen stage, I do run into hot spots due to the lighting being a little bit different at each arena. I also have the huge stage issue. From 100-150 ft (soundboard) I am lucky to get everyone in at 70mm effective length. Number 3 is my favorite.

With a big smile he says, "See the reply above." I have excellent lighting AND a lot of experience.:lol::lol:
