Good First attempt.
Few things to think about.
photo #1 The colours need a bit of popping and the bright sky in the top left is distracting from the Rose
I have had a 20 second play and came up with this.
#2 The dress and flowers look blown out, watch your exposure. a grey card can be handy at weddings, especially when you have to expose a bride and groom together.
Photo #3 and #8 Watch again for exposure, no mid tones in the black. also in #3 the litter bin is a bit distracting.
Love photo #9.
Overall a really good first attempt. Well done.

hey mate.. great shots there...
i would have to agree on the bin being a distraction... i quite liked your original editing of this pic, it also looks great as a slight sepia...
i cropped it just a little to draw a little more emphasis to their end point..(which im guessing is the church...)
nice job

Thanks for the feedback. I'll go back and remove the litter bin. I also like the background. I'm still new to photoshop, but how do you put backgrounds like that on a picture?

hey ogre...
Adding a black border..
***make sure that your bacground colour is black***
1. select "crop" tool.
2. drag crop outside of the photo itself... doing this the right way can help... hold down the shift key and the alt key at teh same time as holding down the mouse button and dragging it out... this drags the sides out in proportion to the photo...
3. if you need to drag the sides out or the top out a little more, hold the alt key only...
4. once everything looks good to go hit "enter"
hope that helps....

black border.
Image>Resize>Canvas size
When in Canvas size screen: Choose a size you want for width and height, check mark "Relative", chose a color and hit okay.

To give a colour pop the best and eaiest way is to duplicate the layer, set the layer as an overlay, and drops it opacity down to around 12- 25% depending on the photo. Also can be done in curves but that takes a bit longer to explain

Ps, I also burnt out the bright area a little with the burn tool in photoshop set to Highlights and 3%
