Always look up when you are in the woods. Bursting out from behind the bark - I think these are edible.

People get a bit over cautious about fungus. OK I admit you shoudl never eat anything if you are not 100% sure what they are. But, and I have to admit to cheating a bit, I had the advice of a ranger on these and he in fact cooked them for lunch!
But thanks for the concern guys - I'm touched!
OH and I don't have a 20D yet - I'm waiting for the donations to start rolling in. If everyone on this forum gave my £5 I'd be well on the way. Go on you can afford it!!

No I was refering to the fact the 5 pounds (as in our unit of weight measure) would be quite a pile of money, see you call your money pounds we call kilograms pounds, and our money dollars so if I convert my dollars to 5 american pounds whew that be enough to buy out CANON :D :D :D :D I'd hate to think what a 5 (american weight pounds (2.3kilos)) of dollar bills would add up to... talk about an exchange rate...

Well just to confuse I was educated using the old imperial measurements (punds, stones, miles, etc) but it changed about 20 years ago to metric (cm, kilos and kilometers). My 4 year old asked me how tall I was in meters and I had no idea!

Lol.
Unless you live in Arizona;
Most of their measurements are in Metric; so no tourists know how far things are from one another.

First off, thats a lovely shot. Heck never thought I would say that about fungus, but I just did. Just like the shot, something lovely about those 'shrooms. As a matter of fact, I had 5 pounds and a few pence left from my Sept-Oct trip to England, stashed alway in my "london mints" candy container. I came back telling my parents, I lost more "pounds" in that little stay in England than any diet.
