I shot the Black Crowes in Addison, TX at an outdoor event this past weekend and here are a few shots from the show. Hope you like. The show was great other than the stupid drunk people fighting and trying to SURF!!! I took over 700 shots and I have some images to look over to say the least so here are a few. Great job! I LOVE these! The first one is the only one that has a "flaw"....the missing hand! But it really is still a great pic! All of them are.

Smooth, clean, clear...perfect exposure!

I think 4 is my favorite. 5 and 7 close second! I may have an opportunity to shoot them in Sept!!!

Thank you Grace. I know exactly what you mean because when I shot that one I said D@MN!. I knew exactly that moment the shutter tripped that I clipped the hand. I thought about it for the rest of the song.

Nice job on all of them. # 6 is my favorite.

I do have some questions, though. Was the lighting that dark? I try to match the brightness that I see on stage to my shots. Last time I saw them it was a bit brighter on stage.

Thank you everyone, really. I've been working on my concerts as I mainly shoot NBA games so it's a bit different.

The usual 'cloud' was there both on stage and in the crowd but it was so windy that night that it was getting blown in the wind.

The shots that are darker were when the lights were real low. Most of the shots was regular stage lighting. However, I love low lighting concert shots with color in them so I try to capture the most colorful shots I can as well as the well lit ones. I love seeing the singer or guitarist with a red or blue or purple light on them.

To me concerts are also about the look and feel of the lighting as well as the music. It's just a full experience for me so I try and capture that. That's just how I see things, I guess a little artsy. I appreciate all the comments and I'm glad ya'll liked them. I love seeing the shots here of shows so I thought I would post a few.

Thank you. From the spot I was at they were the only 2 and the keyboardist I could see. I did get few of the other guitarist but I just haven't gotten to process them yet. I just shot another game so I'm trying to get both the Crowes and the game to process.

I got a few more done so here's some more shots with Luther. Now keep in mind he was to my left and the crowd was blocking my view of him so when they split open for just a moment I snapped a few of him. This happened only twice so these are all I got of him. Hope you like.

Thank you Actor, that's one of my favorites as well. I came out better than I thought once I opened it up on the computer. I used a 70-200mm 2.8 the whole show
