I need to upload a couple of AVI files to my camera (canon S40 - 64mb card). It should be possible because they were originally taken with an S40 and then downloaded to my computer (Mac OS X10.2).
The problem is that the AVI files are 'greyed out' so I'm not able to select them to upload.
The steps I take are: 1) Open Image Browser and click on the 'Canon Camera' button. 2) After the camera window opens I click on 'Upload' and navigate to the movie folder within the 'Select Images to Add' window. That's were I find the images are greyed out and so I'm not able to get to the stage of saving the AVIs to the camera.
I've experimented with JPEGs and have had mixed success. Most can be uploaded but some of them are also greyed out. I don't understand why this is as the file sizes and names (~.jpg) are all similar.
One other thing I tried was drag & drop from the IB window to the camera window. With the AVIs I got the message 'An image of this format cannot be added to the camera window', although it was OK to do this with the JPEGs.
I'd appreciate any tips anyone might have as to how (or whether it's even possible) to upload these files.
