I am a manager of another group and one of the members posted this question "Have your 10D hooked up to a laptop so you can view the image right away on the laptop screen? I looked it up in the manual and couldn't find it, so I am not even sure what cord to use."

I own a 20D myself and have yet to hook it up to my laptop. I did get my laptop for that reason, but the contrast is too high on the LCD. Anyway, can somebody help. Thanks...Dean

Canon Remote Capture (Bundled software).

I used it last night with my laptop & 10D via USB connection. It's a little slow, but it gets the job done.

Some googling brought up Breeze systems DSLR Remote Pro which looks to have quite a bit of functionality that the Canon bundled capture doesn't have.

And of course, on the 20D it will work much faster, USB 2.0 and all that jazz. :D
