I'm not big on the color/B+W technique (becoming overused), but this one (#5) really works for me!

Because the wedding was at noon the sun cast some horrible shadows. I tried to minimize (divert attention) them by black/white, sepia. What techniques both during the shoot and PP to minimize this problem.

Love the strawberries with the cake. Awesome stuff there. Lots of kissing shots. Looks good.

Image 1: I don't like the photoshopped blur... looks un-natural, especially around the feet.
Image 2: Pretty good, I like this one... a tad dark on the right side, but it could be this monitor (I'm at work and this monitor isn't calibrated)
Image 3: Good pose, I like this one too... the WB might be off as the groom looks a little orange, but again... uncalibrated monitor, so it may just be me.
Image 4: The blown highlights in the flowers distract me and that becomes the focus of attention. Also, I think this one would work better if the B&G were looking at the camera.
Image 5: I don't think the selective color works very well here... but bride's love this stuff so if she likes it, then good!
Image 6: Good pose, but too dark again...
Image 7: You already mentioned the chair. As you get more experience with wedding photography, you'll learn to spot those things before snapping the shot. Also, I don't like the fountain shooting out of the bride's head. But the exposure looks good!
Image 8: I really like this one... good angle and perspective!
Image 9: Good... some racoon eyes in the groomsmen from the overhead sun, but you can't really help that since it was the location they chose...
All in all, good job for your second wedding. ;)

Looks pretty good. There are a few blurry ones. Stinks that you had to do it in such harsh sunlight. Not much you can do with the shadows during the ceremony unless you get intrusive and close with fill flash.

#4 seems off focus.
So nice of you to do free weddings. Family / friends?

Ahhhhh...my eyes...(#5) :) (hide this one)...
For your 2nd wedding I think you are doing a decent job. I would recommend on your detail shot of the strawberries to get in closer. I mean really close, not macro, but the angel of your shot is just straight on from above. Get the angle down a little and then get right up next to those babies. You will see a big difference with a wide angle lens on this type of shot. Hope this helps.

why would you hide this one? it's one of the better ones in my opinion (based on brides would like).

This is of course personal opinion. I just try to look at what shots are going to remain timeless. 10-20 years from now this image doesn't...

10-20 years huh? You know that outlasts a typical marriage by 7- 17 years.

Maybe some people would like to think that marrige is in fact something sacred that should only be seperated by death.....

SoccerRef - wow. I wouldn't have known a chair was there at all. Clone Stamp, right? I need to work on that PS technique (along with many others).

Do you work as a photographer or do you just do free things to learn.

As editing is OK, your picture #6... brightened, sharpened, and cropped for a different compo. You'll get the idea.
Working with direct sun light is not easy; I'd rather look for a shaded area for intimate portraits like this. Most likely, the first photograher was using a flash to fill the harsh shadows.

No, I'm an accountant. I am still learning so money is not the objective at the present.

Thanks!! Yep, Clone Stamp. The trick is to do it several times from several angles and then fill in details like the grain of the rock, the flow of the grass, the meeting of the rocks and grass, etc.
This one was a rather quick edit, 2 minutes tops. Sometimes they can be rather complex, but if you think it out and "see it in your head", it can usually be accomplished.

Me Too... Kind of... I am a manager in the accounting department...

Love the strawberries in #8!
For #1 - instead of the blur, maybe try cropping it and adding a vignette...

I really like the cake photo, you have really got a good angel out of that. Did you use a light diffuser for #1? The light looks a bit harsh.
