I have buy a canon s30.
The video record is limited to 30s.
Is it possible to record video more than 30s ?
update firmware ? s30 configuration ?

You're recording at 320x240 and at that resolution the limit is 30 seconds. If you change the resolution to 160x120, you can capture two minutes of video. Here's how you do it:
- select movie mode on the dial
- press menu
- use the navigator and press down one to choose resolution
- use the navigator again to select 160 (actual resolution will show at right of lcd)
- press menu again to apply the setting

The 30s limitation is software limitation (firmware limitation) ?
Can we update it in order to bypass this limitation ?

The limitation (common to all cameras except Sony and Fuji) is based on hardware, not software. I think the camera writes to the memory buffer, then transfers to the CF card, so you're limited by the buffer size.
