I asked in the past whether the 10d (or the 20d) supported the WA technology of the Lexar Cards. I had read that the 10d did not. (I now own the 20d). People on this forum confirmed that Canon did not license it from Lexar and it, the 10d, did not take advantage of it.
So, here's my question. I asked Santa (my wife) for the Sandisk Extreme III card to replace my old 16x Lexar 1gig type II card. It not being available, she got me the Lexar WA Professional 80X card. I just tried it out and it does seem faster than my old Lexar. Should I (she) have waited?
I am not referring to speed of writing to the card, as the camera buffer is large enough that that is not my issue. I'm referring to playback speed, photo to photo, speed of being able to erase from the card. When I had the Nikon D100, all these operations were much quicker, especially erasing.
