Digital up to $350

Hi,
I'm a newbie at the digital camera world, and I'm from Europe. Maybe some of you know, but here the digitals are like 50% more expencive than over there in US or Canada.

And because I have about 400 Euros, and a trip to Montreal, I would like to buy a camera ...
I just don't know what to buy, cuase here in France we have mostly SONY and Konica ... all of them over 500 Euros ...

What I want is at least 2 Mpixels, smaller size, and light camera ... (less than 250g)

Can anybody give me some hints how to choose or which store in Montreal, CA go to?

Get a Canon :) You could easily afford a S200, or even S30. I have an s200 and am very happy with it - very compact :) Prices on the entire Canon line has been reduced since newer models are coming soon.

In terms of where to go, I'm from Toronto so can't be that specific. Definitely try Futureshop and Black's.

RZAA is quite right about Future Shop. Their prices are about the lowest you're going to get. You can also haggle with the prices there.
However the S30 at $749.99 is way out of the price range you're talking about. The A30 is more in the area you are looking but at a lowered price of $429.99 I would consider the A40. Maybe up your budget a bit.

well, I got the A60 at the time. From Futureshop. You were right, it's a great shop and also the camera was great. After 6 months I have sold it in France for the same price I bought a new A70. the I sold it in France too and bought a S400 and so on ... since then I had 30 different models and now I am going for the Nikon D70 kit + Sigma 70-300mm and also I got a Nikon SB-80 flash I bought for 30 USD on ebay!! :-)
