I'm thinking about getting the G9 for my wife's birthday, and site appear to be one of the cheapest. Has anyone dealt with this company before, or know of similar deals elsewhere in the U.k. Thanks

I looked at them too, but McAfee SiteAdvisor flags up a warning for this site, several people not happy about receiving US models and some suggesting the store is based in the US:

I bought mine from Amazon, it's currently £282, worth a few extra pounds for the peace of mind in my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up. They looked 'iffy when I couldn't find a contact address. Cheers.

You can also check out resellerratings.com. That is a review site of online stores. When the 20D was out, there were stores online selling for as little as 600 for the body. Apparently a lot of people tried to order through these companies, only to realize that the company "had problems" shipping the item, and would continuously offer them accessories or extra lenses at a horrendous amount (probably to make up for the low pricetag on the camera body). In any case, that is just my 2 cents.

I bought a G9 through this company thinking that the co.uk. meant they were in the U.K. Paid £245 and the camera was delivered via UPS within 7 days from the U.S. Still, happy with camera and they were efficient in dealing with me. Other than the warranty situation, not sure what difference there is between the UK and US models.

You probably got a proper paper handbook rather than a pdf file

Hmm, pretty sure mine's a UK version from Amazon.co.uk, but I didn't get a paper manual, only the pdf version on the disk. For me the main issue/concern would be warranty, but if you never need it......
