I'm trying to find some work over the summer, and would love to have it be related to photography, as I hope to begin a career soon.
I was wondering how you go about finding a photographer to second shoot for?? Has anyone heard of an "internship" like that? Any other ideas on how to find a job over the summer??!
Also, considering I am a young photographer (17) how much will that effect the possibilities?

I have gone through my short story a few times on these boards, but since it doesn't have much to do with your situation, I will just say this:
I first got an internship from my photography teacher, then a few months later she "hired" me as her assistant, (a paid position)... I am only 15, was 14 when she took me as an intern, so you being 17 shouldn't affect your chances too much (In a bad way, that is)
Just find local photographers and either e-mail them, call them (Much better way of contacting them), or even go visit their studio (Some will advise against this because it can be annoying to busy photographers).
Just keep looking! You are bound to find someone who will take you in!

I would suggest contacting some local photographers in your area. Often, photographers are more willing to hire/mentor students because they don't feel as much of a "threat" (for lack of a better word).
