Hey guys, It seems like my 24-105 hood works on my 10-22. Is anybody else using it on their 10-22?...any reason why I should'nt?

The EW-83E, the hood for the 10-22, is smaller than the EW-83H for the 24-105. I'd guess that there are situations where the 24-105 hood will block light entering the 10-22 since it's a considerably wider angle lens.

yeah i noticed this thin shadow-like mark between 10-12mm on the left and right side of the picture. The EW-83H is so much more good looking compared to the hood thats made for the E...

I use my EW-83H hood on my 10-22 and have not noticed any problems, even at 10mm.

I find that to be quite a bit odd as its extremely noticeable vignetting below 12mm with either the 30D or 40D.

I just dont use a hood on my 10-22 :p
Never really had an issue with it either, you see so much of the scene anyway there is not much the hood blocks additionally.

Haha, yeah I know lol. I'm just not going to use a hood on the 10-22, as the CPL filter will be on it most of the time

XTI as well. I tried my buddys hood for his 24-105 and below 12mm it is noticable.
