How can you change the flash strength?
Can it be done?

My problem is when I take certain pictures, flash is too strong, it ruins the picture, especially in Macro mode. If I turn it off, then there is not enough light, so I dont know what to do.

If you are talking about the built in flash, here is one lo-tech solution:

Wax Paper

Use multiple layers to reduce even more light.

Of course, there is the hi-tech solution that costs money. A macro lens extention and a macro flash.

Yeah I am talking about the built in flash, and I thought it can be changed to lower strength.

Yes it can. After my last post, I pulled out my G2 and found it! In P mode, push the WB white balance button a few times. You will find the menu where you can adjust the flash output.
