Tripod or Flash

I have a choice between getting the 055xprob/488rc2 combo or a used 580ex mk1.

now i already have a 430ex. having a 580ex as a master with the 430ex as a slave would be nice

i dunno if ill actually use the tripod that much (but it would be nice to know i have a dependable tripod) and i've always wanted more flash power from the 430ex.

currently have the cullman magic 2 as a tripod. lol
also have the slik u212 (for my canon hg10 camcorder)

if i do get the 055xprob/488rc2 combo, i would sell those two tripods and get a fluid head (to go on the 055xprob tripod) for my camcorder.

i dunno what to do. lol

If you don't know if you will actually use the tripod the answer seems obvious.

Your gear is a close match to my gear.

I rarely use my tripod, but find I always tend to use 2 flashes while shooting indoors or sometimes outdoors as well. If I do use the tripod, its typically for indoor shots where I want to be in the pic as well or for long exposures.

My vote would be for the master flash, just my 2 cents.
