What lens is that again ?????
It's tack sharp.
I like the composition of all the photo's.
I couldn't find anything wrong.
(I am not putting my opinion on the car)

sameerb, thanks for the comments! And yes, it is a Sonata. :-)
mr.photoguy, I used the Tamron 28-75 XR Di lens for all of these shots, along with a circular polarizer. (and thanks for not saying anything harsh about the car itself)

edit ---> yes you guessed it .. im an unashamed car-snob LOL :DYeah, well.... this isn't your ordinary Sonata either. It has a few tricks up its sleeves that suprises quite a few people on the street with much more expensive cars. It's a 2.4L 4-banger with a 5-speed manual and about 6 custom mods to the suspension, engine, exhaust and engine management system that no other Hyundai Sonata has.
In fact, on the way to work this morning, I dusted a new Acura TL which has a 270hp 3.2L V6! I just pulled away from him like nothing. And no, I do not have a turbo or nitrous. It's all natural!! It really is a sleeper.
But anyway, back to the topic.... http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif

Maybe he wasn't racing...
Do you know how much your car weigh's.
One of my cars is a Mazda 323 hatchback with a DOHC 1.8L motor in it. Has short gearing ,clutch is a bit weak, but no damn way a hyndai will smoke me in it.
I was going to turbocharge it, but between photography and two Turbo cars...... I don't think so.

LOL... That's funny. Whatever makes you sleep better at night I suppose.
BTW, it's spelled.... H-Y-U-N-D-A-I.
Also, the dry weight of my car is 3181 lbs. With me, the stereo, full tank of fuel, and all other fluids filled, it weighs in at 3670 lbs. (yes, I had my car weighed at the track).
My best 1/4 mile time to date is 14.34 sec @ 95.1 mph. You do the math on the HP ratings.
I seriously doubt your little 323 can do anything close to that, even with a turbo! LOL!!!!! http://www.sonataspeed.com/yabbse/smilies/laugh.gif

stock with my motor swap, I am not sure what the car would do. I never ran it, but I would figure low 15 and better with a better dragger.
I don't know much about track driving, but I know the Hyundai wouldn't stand a chance on the street. not @ 3670lbs ..
With a turbo.. It actually becomes a 13 second car. This is with a small turbo too.. smaller than a T25 .. A bigger Turbo would make the numbers just get lower.
God damn 3670 lbs. That's heavy as hell.. That is most likely due to the motor.
I did correct that hyundai spelling, but I guess I may have clicked off before it went through ... oh well whatever.. lol ..

I know this isn't the proper place for this type of topic, but to reply to that little sentence in red above......
...Yeah, just like you knew my car couldn't smoke yours. RIGHTTT!!!!
Like I said, I have done some work to the suspension as well which compensates for the added weight. Maybe I should have mentioned that it is fully adjustable now, both stiffness and ride height. I do a little auto-x racing from time to time in this car as it is.
Again, this car IS a sleeper.

Yeah, right.... Lets see the slips.... a stock SRT-4 runs 14's and were talking a 2.4 turbo'd car that weighs in at 2880 so post lets see the slips....

So the only mods you have is an adjustable suspension..
Are we talking about a true Tein Suspension or Universal Coilovers. I am thinking you would have a true coil set up, as at over 3000 lbs. I would not want to ride in that car with GC's on it.
I will talk about cars anywhere.. I don't care lol..
Weight it weight, you can't compensate for it. You can only improve the balance of the car with adding stiffer suspension, and that doesn't compensate for weight. Adding more hp doesn't compensate for weight because the weight is still there.
The best way to deal with weight is to get rid of it.

Like I said before Kenski, do the math!
And mr.photoguy, I'm not even going to bother telling you the list of mods I have done to my car. Why waist my time going through all of that just so you and others can come back on here and say that I'm lying? I see no point in it. I've been there and done that, and I'm sure as heck not doing that again here!!!
I don't have to prove anything to any of you, no matter who you are or what you say or think. Just because you don't like Hyundai, you automatically think they are not capable of anything better than a Ford Pinto. Well I have news for you. Just ask any of the guys around town here that I've shut down in their BMWs, their Acuras, their Mustangs.... the list goes on and on my friend.
Besides, the last time I checked, I thought this was a photography forum and we were supposed to be critiquing my pictures, not my car!
So please, get back on the subject or don't post at all. If you feel like arguing, then take it to the private messages, not here. If this goes on any further, I'll just ask a Moderator to lock the thread.
Have a swell day non-believers! http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/icons/icon6.gif

hahahah, do the math.... I'm doing the math, with those # it says you have 246 at the wheels which is not possible with the mods you have.... Your trying to tell us you gained over 100 hp with bolt on mods with out forced induction.... Come on... You didn't think there would be gear heads on a photo board??? Your car STOCK only puts down 138hp at the crank. Hell, my SRT runs mid 12's all day and will be in the low 11's in spring and I know what it takes to add 100hp and it takes alot more then a few bolt ons and a engine management system.... what do you have, SAFC, Emanage??? thats good for maybe 10 MAX!!!!
Too bad you don't live around me, I'd show you what is fast, but I'm sure I could find a few STOCK SRT's in your area to show your hyun-duh how slow it really is....
BTW, do you have subwoofers in there or something because I was just surfing a few Hyundai boards to dis-prove your 100HP gain (which no-one I can find has gained 100 HP with bolt ons or run a 14.34 with bolt ons) and eaither you a re a REALLY BIG GUY or you have ALOT OF CRAP in your car becaue that is an extremly HIGH weight....
Mr photoguy, he doesn't know what he's talking about but if you want to talk about cars, I'm game, I'm been in it for awhile, old school and new school.... Just got done on a year long project with my buddies chevelle with a 406 small block pumping out 650hp before the juice!!!! then add a 300 shot on top of that... Whhhoooaaaa baby...... :) My SRT is getting a new turbo and head come spring but she is keeping her stock appearance on the outside execpt for the exhaust. I am ditching the dual exhaust and filling the holes and going with a side exhaust. 4 bangers should not have dual exhaust. How stupid!!!! but thats it. I eat Z06's as it is now on the street but on the track, they edge me out at the end... Not after the new head and turbo though!!!

Who ever said anything about bolt-ons?! Did I say something about bolt-ons?! No I didn't. I should know, because I was there when I said it. This is mainly due to the fact that no one makes anything aftermarket for my engine, and I do mean no one! Everything has to be custom made, which has been done.
Here's a few of the major engine mods.... Fully Balance and Blueprinted, Domed Pistons, Match Ported and Extrude Honed, Custom Ground Intake and Exhaust Cams (non-adjustable), modified Thottle Body and Mass Air Flow Meter, Custom Exhaust Manifold using stock heat shield, One-Off Custom Fully Programmable Engine Management System, genaric Short Ram Air Filter using stock intake plumbing.
The suspension is completely "boxed in", including modified fully adjustable coilovers, front and rear anti-sway bars, front strut tower brace, and upgraded to Sonata GLS 16" aluminum wheels.
It all looks stock unless you really start looking around and under things. For the stereo, look here at the bottom of the page... http://chops.tzo.com/car.htm
If you still don't beleive me, then that's your own stubborn problem. If all you're going to do is keep calling me a fake, then there's no reason for you to keep posting in this thread.
Have a swell day, sir.

hahahah..... Yeah... Ok.... I belive you now... Espically with that STOCK intake manifold and STOCK ignition wires..... But watch out, your sporting a DEEP CYCLE battery.... I love when people put deep cycle batteries in their cars and have no clue what they are doing... Deep cycle batteries are good for the stereo equipment but they die quickly because of the destructive nature of everyday starting and charging of a car. Deep cycles need to be trickle charged and aren't supposed to be used for starting because they will go bad faster. But most people don't know this and eaither just replace there battery with one because they throw an amp in their car and they think it will help or they add a a deep cycle in loop without a battery isolator and it actually does nothing extra!!!
