I would have shorten the depth of field so the subject being the drummers won't be interfeared by the background like it does. Still nice shot.

Yep, Huntington Beach, that's right. I shot this one at f/4, I would like to go down to f/2.8 to isolate the drummers better. however, the sun is way to bright in So. Cal and the shutter speed is going to max out at f/2.8 and picture will be kinda over-exposed.

What ISO did you shoot with? Could have tried ISO 100 perhaps?
