haha. im glad you noticed that. it took me a while to figure out what exactly was going on with that one when i first uploaded them. im glad that you cant see the source of that arm, it would probably have killed the shot. :D

Thanks! I shot these all by using a slow shutter and manually firing the flash. i was around 1 second or so for my shutter speed.

I like them but I wish the shutter speed was a bit faster. I cant take pictures at shows. I want to be in the pit the whole time.

2, 6, 7 and 8 are all pretty great. 6 would be even beter if the guy in the pants on the right wasn't in it.

Bit too long shutterspeeds IMO. Yet not enough ambient in some.
Good energy in some.

#5 is fun.

hey StS, i didn't get a chance to try out my manual flash/pilot/long exposure experiment last night...the bands (kilslug and anal c-word) weren't too animated (well AC was a bit, but the pit was kinda fierce so i hung out at the edge, on Seth's side).

i actually meant to message you last night when i got home but got side tracked. it clicked on the way home that when you said AC...that you were talking about AxCx. Ive never seen them live, but would assume that they would get kind of ridiculous... because they are ridiculous(not in a bad way... just in a way that only they could be). are you going to put up anything from this show? i went to a show this past week with the intentions of shooting... but ended up just spectating. it was The Dear Hunter and Foxy Shazam. I had really wanted to get pictures of Foxy Shazam because they are pretty much non stop action... but the crowd of sweaty 15 yr olds was annoying... so i just sat back and watched. good show though.

yeah, i'll put up some of the shots. good show. started late though; AC didn't get on until 12:30AM. i left after 30min. Kilslug was awesome.
